Kwik Trip, Inc.'s Production department is looking for well-rounded Electro-mechanical Maintenance Interns. These individuals will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a variety of modern automated process systems in our state of the art Bakery, Commissary, and Dairy facilities. Candidates should have experience working with Allen-Bradley PLC's and supporting control devices, along with a strong industrial electronic and mechanical background. Regular tasks include but are not limited to: perform preventative maintenance procedures; communicate with operators and management team; ensure day to day productivity and operational efficiencies are achieved; perform emergency maintenance as required; coordinate with vendors for necessary repairs; inspect facilities and equipment on a regular basis.
Work Schedule: This is a paid internship lasting through the school year(s). Interested applicants must be willing to work up to 25 hours per week, and it is important to note that we offer flexibility with school scheduling. This internship also offers the possibility to eventually move to full time.
## Shift
This job is in an automated industrial setting, so interns should be in their first or second year of an Electro-mechanical Technology program or a related program. Candidates should possess the following: strong mechanical skills; the ability to work well alone and as part of a team; strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; accurate and detail oriented; willing to learn and perform a variety of job tasks; ability to prioritize multiple projects; ability to support and meet department deadlines; good problem solving skills; ability to read, understand, and interpret schematics and manuals; good working knowledge of hand and power tools; possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record. All candidates must be able to work safely and within food safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications: stand/walk for up to 10 hours per shift; bend/reach/twist and stoop/kneel/crouch frequently; lift/carry 50 pounds frequently; lift/carry up to 80 pounds occasionally.
