Position Summary The Sr. Engineer is responsible for leading and leveraging cross functional talent across all levels and departments of manufacturing to drive continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Colleague Engagement within their manufacturing center. Resolves engineering problems involved with equipment development or manufacturing. Accountabilities Leadership and continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Colleague Engagement Leads and participates in cross functional team Drives problem solving to root cause and permanent corrective action Drives cadence and accountability to meet improvement goals Tracks and reports on KPI's Collaborates with other leaders towards meeting plant specific objectives Designs parts and systems for high-speed manufacturing equipment such as instruments, controls, robotics, engines, machines, and mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer systems. Directs and coordinates fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems for high-speed manufacturing equipment conforms to engineering design and customer specifications. Participates in safety programs via regular assignments while complying with OSHA and EBC standards, provides input into performance evaluations of related subordinates, collaborates with supervisor, co-workers, and teams to meet departmental and company objectives. Provide Mentoring and Training within organization. Required Skills and Experience At least 7
years professional technical experience in a production manufacturing environment Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or Process related Engineering fields Strong Mechanical aptitude - equipment and systems Proven leader/motivator across diverse personalities and competencies Professional verbal and non-verbal communication skills Practiced software skills:
MS Office, Excel, Data visualization Quick adoption of new programs:
SAP, CMMS . Knowledge of modern problem-solving techniques and systems Preferred Skills and Experience SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software Knowledge and/or experience in applying lean principles. High speed automated assembly experience Management / supervision experience Familiar with safety and quality processes and systems Exposure to maintenance systems and processes Experience working within a union environment (facilitative skills)
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
